The POC VPD Air Vest is POC's most comfortable spine protection. The Spine protection is made from POC's patented VPD technology (Viscous Polymer Dough) that is highly flexible but hardens on impact. It is the perfect material for protection as when it warms against the body, it wraps around the rider's body shape, giving excellent flexibility and freedom of movement, but upon impact acts as a hard shell. The VPD in the POC VPD Air Vest is comprised of 3 separate layers that have aligned holes for ventilation. Whilst connected in the centre, these three layers have a range of movement between each interface, allowing even more of a close fit to each individuals body shape. The highly breathable and flexible mesh vest holds the VPD close to the body, and coupled with the customisable waist strap creates a very low profile on the body; perfect for wearing underneath a ski jacket, race suit or mountain bike jersey.
